Rich is a Founding Member of Winbridge SBF Ltd. Together with his fellow founding members, Rich oversees the tax compliance, accounting and consulting services of the firm and has extensive partnership and private investment fund taxation experience. He is knowledgeable about issues impacting funds, management companies, portfolio company exits, blocker entities, co-investment vehicles, and other special purpose vehicles.
Rich’s professional experience spans over 30 years and covers a broad range of planning and advice regarding taxation of partnerships, closely-held businesses, executive income tax planning and estate and trust planning for individuals. Rich has also extensively been involved in the valuation of businesses and forensic accounting services used in conjunction with acquisitions, financing of leveraged buy-outs and support to the legal profession. He has spoken often to organizations regarding federal and state income tax planning, business entities, personal financial planning, estate planning and real estate taxation.
Rich graduated with a BA in Accounting and Finance from Ohio State University. He became a member of the Ohio Bar in 1988 after graduating from Cleveland State’s Marshall College of Law concentrating in Tax and Business law. He is a current member of the American, Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Rich is also a member of The United States Tax Court and The United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio.
